Jim and Taryn from Auto Perfection, and Gaz from Detail My Ride, were Dom’s helpers at the MPH Show – booked because we wanted to do a major UK car show at the NEC and the British Motor Show has ceased to exist or something. It’s a weird event though. It’s overwhelmed by Top Gear Live and the Classic Car Show that runs alongside it, and is full of a random assortment of traders, including those who don’t have much to do with cars! We were next to NPower and a hot dog stand, across the aisle from a gym equipment company and perfume reseller hoping to make the most of a pre-Christmas crowd. Hmmm… Anyway, the show was fine but not quite to our tastes. We’ll be back again in 2010, but in the Classic Car hall as it had more going on and a more focused bunch of traders
