Modified Mania - Weather tore the house down.
The Dodo invents a new sport – Gazebo Flying.

A change of venue and a change of luck for the Dodo at the Devon Car Show aka Modified Mania. We should have known it was going to be a bad day when the sat nav postcode couldn’t even get us to the venue, so we had to drive around the Devon countryside looking for an apron of crumbling concrete. When we found Smeatharpe Stadium, it made us yearn fondly for wet grass and mud. It was about as nasty as hard standing gets. Then the speedway track at the venue got whipped up by a gale force wind and starts laying down a fine layer of dirt (note, not dust but dirt!) over every product, every person and every car. Naturally, we are at the windiest corner of the whole show and despite tying the gazebo down, it slips its anchor weights at the front and embeds itself on a barbed wire fence. This results in one dead gazebo and one open-air Dodo stand. Luckily, it didn’t rain until the end of the day when it absolutely chucked it down, to round off a pretty crud show. Please Sean, next time, say no to Smeatharpe!
