Nice weather for ducks, not Dodos.
Nice weather for ducks, not Dodos.

Now, if ever you thought the Dodo was a fair weather bird only, this event proved otherwise. It was lashing it down at 6am when we were due to pack the van and leave for the show. And the show is outside on grass. But we had people to meet and greet, and products to sell, so off we went – a little later than planned.

On arrival, we met our mate Dom from Meguiars, who seemed to like the Blingo, then we reclaimed our pitch from the neighbouring traders who had taken it over, expecting us to cry off. Wrong, boys! The Dodo makes shows... whether it be rain, shine or nuclear winter.

Then it was on with a rather soggy day’s trade, selling stuff out of the back of the van like true dodgy traders. Turned out alright in the end, and the sun even started shining as we were packing up. Typical.

Dodo - right out the back of the van
Weather conditions required some quick thinking and a freestyle setup of the Dodo stand - right out of the back of the van.
yet another Dodo on the spot setup
Despite the lean and slightly shady 'back of the van' setup, good friends of the Dodo came to see us.
