I'm trying to determine if my seats are ambla or connolly leather. I have a 1994 Jaguar XJS with barley interior (I6). I had assumed the faces were leather but someone with a 1995 discovered his car was completely vinyl/ambla.

To the best of my knowledege i was informed by a trimmer the backs and sides are vinyl and the seat and lumbar areas are leather hope that helps

Thanks for the reply ant13. I started working on my side bolster under the understanding that it was leather (and as you say the sides were vinyl) but when I got into it, this is what I got:


Also, I've been told that the UK spec is as you say but that the US spec was all vinyl except for the back seats (which I confirmed earlier where leather)???
