Over the past couple of years I have built up a small arsenal of Dodo Juice products all of which are a real pleasure to use and perform outstandingly. I say 'all' but there is one product I just can't seem to get right - Lime Prime Lite. I don't know what I'm doing wrong but I find it leaves stubborn 'smear' marks on the paintwork which are almost impossible to buff off. I'd love to get this stuff to work but for some reason I'm just not getting it. Can anyone suggest what I'm doing wrong?
Ps - the last product I bought was the SN Glass Sealant - easy to use and gives an amazing finish. Trouble is, it hasn't bloody rained since I used it!

How long are you leaving it on the paint after applying? I use a microfibre pad, work it into a small area (noticing how much dirt has come off the paint onto the pad) and then buff straight off - move onto the next area. I typically work an area about 18" square.
I think either, you're not massaging it in enough (or using too much), or not removing it immediately after spreading.

LPL is a real Marmite product and IS difficult to use and incompatible with some (UV damaged) paint. Use it as a wipe on,wipe off product on new paint and it will only serve the forces of good. But leave it on too long or use it on porous paint (UV damaged) and you WILL have smearing issues as the oils sink below a buffable level. If it is a black or red car over 4 years old, then the paint is the issue. You need a less oily paint cleanser. Whilst the oils give the potential for even more gloss than Lime Prime, they will sink into defects.

Hey Dom would you call lime prime a less oily cleanser I've been using LPL for the past year and think it's great but with my civic a solid red as it gets older if i start to go get smearing issues would using standard LP work better? Or will the micro abrasives be an issue with the soft Honda paint.

Yes, LP is less oily as the polish abrasives help suspend the oils a little. What you need, however, is launching next month - a Lime Prime 'Reallyfine'. It will be a Supernatural product and would be perfect. An abrasive product but even finer than LP and far easier to use than LPL.

As ever the Dodo to the rescue - I'll have to set aside a few pennies for what I'm guess to be the ultimate in Lime Prime goodness
