Another Bash At Detailing |
|
Just had another go at detailing and took loads of pics. Thought id share them with you. Let me know what you thing of this attempt.
The car is my mums and it never, ever, gets looked after. It had been machine polished once before to remove some bad defects so i only lightly polished this one as i didnt want to polish to deep into the paint. I dont have a paint depth guage so i had to be careful. I managed to get rid of the swirls but not too many of the scratches.
Hers the car to start with,
After a few pics where taken it was put outside and soaked in TFR For a bit them pressure washed the worst of the dirt off. Then the snow foam. (my fave bit) :woohoo:
After the foam was a wash with Dodo Juice Sour Power. Soapy!!!!
The wheels where done with valet pro bilberry safe wheel cleaner and the badges, side repeaters, fuel cap compartment, door shuts and any other crevices where done with meguires APC. Any Tar spots where removed with Autosmart Tardis. Pics of this didnt turn out well. Maybe next time. The car was clayed with Dodo Juice Gentle Grey and Born Slippy for lube.
After just half the roof!!!
The car was the washed again and dryed off ready for polishing.
This is a shot of the halogen light after a few quick passes with Dodo Lime Prime and a 3M polishing pad.
When the polishing was finished i washed and dryed the car again and applyed 2 coats of Dodo Juice Hard Candy wax and left it over night before applying Dodo Juice Red Mist to seal the wax.
And finaly, Here is the pics of the finished car.
Hope you liked readin this one.
Cheers.
