2011 - the awards
Detailing World Wash Product Award 2011.

Born to be Mild voted Detailing World's Best Wash Product 2011

For the first time since its inception, a product has won a category in the Detailing World Awards twice in a row. That's 'consecutively', for all you Vorderman Scrabble playing word freaks. And 730 days of pure love for Born to be Mild by the Detailing World voting public. With 1:800 concentration, limescale inhibitors and a wax-friendly residue-free finish, it all makes perfect sense. Bring on 2012. Let's go for the hat trick.

Fast Car Detailing Category Award 2011.

2011 Fast Car Awards Winner

After missing out to carbon fibre number plates in the 2010 Fast Car Awards, we were put in a detailing category where we wouldn't get upstaged by plastic planks. And guess what? We only went and won it! Result. Thanks to all the lovely people at Fast Car and Future for making it possible. We'll give Scary a man hug, Glenda a cuddle, Jules a cheek pinch, Midge a biscuit, G a hair ruffle - and Steph... well, she had definitely better start running!

Fahrzeugpflegeforum.de Awards 2011.

Fahrzeugpflegeforum.de Awards 2011

We got an email from the admins over at Fahrzeugpflegeforum.de telling us that we had won an award. After a bit of hap-hazard 'on-the-fly' German translation we let babelfish do the rest.

Best Wax for under €150 2011

Supernatural took the top spot [for the second year running], voted by the members of Fahrzeugpflegeforum.de. Blue Velvet PRO also placed 3rd in the ranking, giving us 2 waxes in the top three.

Nominations and placings

** Lime Prime took second place for the second year running in the 'Best Car Cleaner'
*** Blue Velvet took third place for the second year running in the 'Best Wax for under €50'
*** Supernatural Clay took third place in the 'Best Detailing Clay'
**** Born to be Mild took fourth place for the second year running in the 'Best Car Wash'

The Green Award 2010 and the South East Regional Winner 2010.

Who’s a clever Dodo?

2010 was a good year for the Dodo. Thoughtful products made from high quality ingredients, and a no-nonsense attitude to selling them, won us a few fans – and some silverware. Check out what we won below.

HSBC Start-up Stars Green Award 2010

A shelf in our unit is groaning under the weight of this award from HSBC. We won it because we champion concentrated products and minimal packaging. Plus the lack of BS surrounding our products and marketing helps to preserve the ozone layer.

HSBC Start-up Stars Regional Finalist 2010

We didn’t win the overall Start-up Stars Award, but we were chuffed to bits with the Green Award. And we won our South East Region heat against some seriously good competition.

The Detailing World Awards 2010.

Detailing World Wash Product of the Year 2010

The Detailing World Awards are voted for by the forum members on one of the biggest detailing forums in the world, so it’s an accolade to have a product voted top of its class. Born to be Mild shampoo won the best wash product category.

Detailing World Polish Product of the Year 2010

Lime Prime has become a modern classic, due to its versatility. More and more people try it and like it every year. It was our first non-wax product, so we’re extremely proud that it won Polish of the Year 2010.

Detailing World Protection Product of the Year 2010

Few waxes generate as many forum posts as Supernatural. Why? Because it’s the carnauba-rich superwax everyone can afford, due to it being available in 30ml panel pots. It led to our third award out of four categories (and we didn’t really have a product suitable for the fourth category anyway).
